In 2010, a group of parents came together in Fallbrook out of a concern for their children, all of whom have a developmental disability. The concern was what was going to happen to their child when they no longer could care for them. In 2011, the non-profit Jeremiah’s Ranch was formed. The primary focus at that time was to create a community for their adult children to reside.

Since that time, Jeremiah’s Ranch has built a community with Fallbrook which offers many types of programs. Jeremiah’s Ranch has monthly support group meetings, educational guest speakers, parties and dances, and year-round Special Olympics sport teams In 2018, they added bowling and golf to the sports offered. In 2015, Jeremiah’s Ranch opened the College of Adaptive Education, which is an inclusive non-accredited college eperience offering event classes such as Art, Dance, Reading, and History.
